StoneAge, a leading manufacturer of waterblasting equipment and nozzles, has released a video featuring CEO Kerry Siggins. In the video, Siggins — who is also a board member of WJTA-IMCA — provides an update on the organization, including its annual conference and expo to be held in November.

“We’re doing some exciting things to move the industry forward,” Siggins says in the video.

She highlights that there have been some important changes to the "Orange Book," such as an update to the recommended practices for high-pressure waterjetting to include some of the new automation techniques.

In addition, Siggins says WJTA-IMCA is partnering with the Houston Area Safety Council to develop hands-on high-pressure waterblasting and vacuum truck training.

“We’re also developing stronger relationships with end-users and plant owners, asking for their participation in forming better safety standards and developing more productive and efficient ways to clean,” she says.

Viewers are invited to become a member of WJTA-IMCA and to register for the 2015 expo, Nov. 2-4, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, where they’ll see firsthand the newest technology the industry has to offer. This year’s event will feature an increased number of networking events and educational programs, she says.

Lastly, Siggins reminds viewers to vote on the WJTA board membership for the next four-year term. Deadline to submit your vote is Sept. 21. Voting opened on Aug. 3. To learn more about the candidates or to vote online, visit the WJTA-IMCA website.
