PEOPLE/AWARDS

Charleston County (S.C.) Public Works, Transportation Development and Facilities Departments were awarded full accreditation on May 10. Charleston County’s three departments joined Anderson and Georgetown counties to become the third agency in South Carolina and the 83rd agency in North America to receive full accreditation, according to a news release.

West Virginia University’s Environmental Health and Safety Department was honored this year with an Environmental Excellence Award in the municipal stormwater category from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.

The City of South Lake Tahoe (Calif.) was awarded a competitive grant from the State Water Resources Control Board through the Proposition 84 Stormwater Grant Program.
