Thompson Pump Obtains ISO 9001:2000 Certification
The Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co. Inc. has achieved ISO 9001:2000 quality certification for its Port Orange manufacturing facility. To receive the certification, companies must undergo independent testing and assessment of their quality management systems and manufacturing standards.
Peninsular Technologies Expands Staff
Peninsular Technologies LLC has named Lee Morgan vice president of integration and project management and John Kelly vice president of business development. Morgan brings 25 years of experience in process controls engineering, system integration, electrical engineering and system installation to his position. He will direct the integration of vision and production system, manage vision system installations and assist in automated inspection system development and customization. Kelly has 15 years experience in sales, product development, food safety, OSHA, labeling, new product roll-outs and capital improvements.
StoneAge Names Petranek Operations Manager
Kerry Petranek has been named operations manager for StoneAge Inc. She brings a strong background in operations and business development to her position and will focus on organizational development, communications and strategic planning.
Aquatech Receives Export Achievement Certificate
Aquatech has received the Export Achievement Certificate from the U.S. Commerce Department’s Commercial Service agency. The award recognizes U.S. companies that make their first export or sale in a new overseas market with the assistance of the agency. Aquatech was able to secure a contract in Italy.
Wieser Achieves NPCA Certified Plant Status
Wieser Concrete Products Inc. has achieved National Precast Concrete Association certified plant status for the 18th consecutive year at its Maiden Rock, Wis., facility and for the 12th consecutive year at its plant in Portage, Wis. Companies that become NPCA certified must meet high quality assurance standards in all areas of management, production equipment, procedures and personnel.
Vanair Breaks Ground for Headquarters
Vanair has broken ground for its new world headquarters in Michigan City, Ind. Located on a 20-acre site, construction of the 60,000-square-foot facility is scheduled for completion in spring 2008.
