Azteca Sets June Cityworks Date; Presents Awards

The Eighth Annual Cityworks User Conference, presented by Azteca Systems Inc., will be held June 16-18, 2008, at the Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort in Snowbird, Utah. Pre-conference training will be held on June 13-14 in Sandy, Utah. The 2008 conference will feature technical and application sessions, user case studies, vendor presentations and exhibit hall. The company also has named Oklahoma City, Okla., Ann Arbor, Mich., Horry County, S.C., and Philadelphia, Pa., recipients of its 2007 Cityworks Innovative User Award for their unique deployment of the GIS-centric management solutions system.

JM Eagle Plans Move to West Coast

JM Eagle will move its corporate headquarters from Livingston, N.J., to Los Angeles next year. The plastic pipe manufacturer, formed this year through the merger of J-M. Manufacturing Company Inc. and PW Eagle Inc., will retain branch offices in Livingston, as well as Eugene, Ore. No jobs are expected to be eliminated by the move, set to be completed by June 2008.

Aquatech Names Desportes Desalination Director

Charles Desportes has been named director for thermal desalination for Aquatech International Corp. An expert in the field of thermal desalination, Desportes is recognized for playing a pivotal role in the development and design of desalination systems using multiple-effect distillation (MED) thermal technology.

Fernco Announces Executive Appointments

Fernco Inc. has named Jeff Urbanski market manager — underground/pipe patch systems, Stan Seybold marketing coordinator and Paul Hoffman business development manager. Urbanski will manage the East and West Coast markets and oversee 34 manufacturer’s agents throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He has been market manager the past four years. Seybold will head up branding strategies for the company’s products, as well as provide development and promotional support for new product introductions. Hoffman has more than 20 years of experience in the plumbing and building materials industry. He will be responsible for market research, and coordinating new product launch timelines. The company also announced that Chad Miller will be responsible for the company’s Underground and Pipe Patch Eastern markets, while Mike Moore will be responsible for its Western markets.
