Kline’s Services, the Pennsylvania wastewater management company, was sold to Wind River Environmental in a sale that was finalized last week.

According to LancasterOnline, the company becomes the 17th location for Wind River Environmental and will cover an expanded service territory in Pennsylvania and Maryland. The sale represents large growth opportunities for Kline’s Services, which will keep its name and management team. President Dave Kline said the sale of the company will not bring about job cuts.

Kline’s Services, started in 1955 by Kline’s grandfather, offers commercial wastewater management, septic services and sewer and drain cleaning. Wind River Environmental provides similar services in New England, New York and New Jersey. Described as a perfect fit, the purchase facilitates both companies’ expansion goals. Wind River Environmental was also interested in Kline’s Services’ methane digester development.

“Being purchased by the Wind River Group gives us huge growth potential for myself and for our employees,” Kline told LancasterOnline.

According to the report, Kline's Services boasts around $16 million in sales annually. Wind River Environmental, which services most of New England as well as New York, New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania, had more than $65 million in sales last year. The company will have about 350 employees with the addition of Kline's Services.
