The new online series provides a self-paced educational resource for engineers, municipalities and contractors interested in learning more about grouting
Grouting is one of the solutions that can help overcome I&I issues, and grout maker Avanti International has teamed with other industry manufacturers to provide a new resource about the method.
Now available online for free is a 16-module video series called the “Fundamentals of Municipal Grouting.” Beginning with the first lesson (History of Sewers) through the last video (Standard Specifications), the series delves deep into areas such as grout chemistry and safety, conveyance technologies and techniques, and all infiltration points of entry: mainline sewers, manholes, service laterals and connections. It was produced in high-definition broadcast quality and access is complimentary, except for engineers requiring Professional Development Hour credits who will have to pay a $49 admin fee.
Aries Industries (grout truck manufacturer) and Logiball (remote packer manufacturer) collaborated with Avanti International on the video series.
“For over a decade, these three companies have prioritized education by hosting grout schools, webinars, and live field-day presentations,” says Daniel Magill, president of Avanti. “Video-based training is a perfectly natural extension of this education initiative and an important asset to teach the fundamentals of injection grouting to specifying engineers, municipal stakeholders, as well as the management, estimators, and technician teams of specialty contracting organizations. Beyond the fundamentals, our hands-on grout schools will continue to provide personalized instruction throughout the year. ‘Fundamentals of Municipal Grouting’ is a perfect prerequisite and base knowledge for grout schools.”
