Custom Orange County Choppers Bike Shines at 2014 Expo

Tune in as Orange County Choppers Founder Paul Teutul Sr. explains working with an industrial vacuum truck manufacturer on a specialized custom chopper motorcycle to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.

When industrial vacuum truck manufacturer GapVax and famed fabrication shop Orange County Choppers team up to commemorate the company’s 25th anniversary, the result is an eye-catching custom motorcycle. The blue and orange cycle drew plenty of attention from attendees and exhibitors alike when it debuted at this year’s 2014 Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo (now Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport Show).

The connection — and ultimate collaboration — happened by chance during a visit to New York. GapVax Owner Poborsky found himself staying at a hotel across the street from the Orange County Choppers New York shop. After walking around the showroom, Poborsky spoke with a technician about fixing up a trike he had at home that he had been working on for his son.

Once he started telling them about the trike, the OCC team agreed to finish the project for him. Orange County Choppers Founder Paul Teutul Sr. and Poborsky found they had much in common, swapping stories about the good old days when they first started their businesses. Poborsky, starting with one septic truck, helped clean up after the Johnstown Flood, while Paul Sr. starting his business from the back of a pickup truck.

Tune in as Poborsky and Teutul Sr. explain the collaboration of this specialized custom chopper motorcycle to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.
