The ES-620 for Sewer Mains probe from Electro Scan is connected to an existing CCTV coax cable and behind a sliding funnel plug. To simulate a wet-weather event inside of the pipe, a jet truck and sliding funnel plug create a reservoir of water around the probe. The system is pulled down the sewer main at more than 45 feet per minute while the unit sends out a high-frequency, low-voltage electrical current. Anywhere the electrical current escapes the pipe wall a defect is recorded, providing the location, orifice size and an estimated gpm flow.
