Singer Valve, a global manufacturer of control valves, has opened a new factory in China and hired Li Jun as general manager. “As we continue to sell into new global markets we need to expand our manufacturing in those regions, so we can meet local demand efficiently and according to their specific needs,” says Singer Valve president Andrew Taylor.

The new 20,000-square-foot plant is located in Taicang Jiangsu Province, just north of Shanghai. They are currently manufacturing Singer control valves between 2 and 8 inches and will be ramping up production over the next three years to meet market demands. The manufacturing focus is on control valves for the water works and construction industry in China, Malaysia and the UAE.

As new general manager, Jun brings in-depth technical product knowledge and has been growing companies in mainland China for 14 years. She will be responsible for bringing the plant up to full production capacity and sourcing the right qualified personnel to make this happen.
