Planet Underground, a provider of underground utility safety information, is joining forces with The Utility Expo to bring its “Roundtable Live!” event to the expo every other year as “The Jobsite, presented by Planet Underground.” The Utility Expo (formerly the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition) is scheduled for Sept. 28-30, 2021, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

“The Jobsite will be an amazing opportunity to learn the latest about equipment and technology from the people they can trust most: their peers,” says John Rozum, director of The Utility Expo. “We’re looking forward to working with Planet Underground to bring this exciting new feature to The Utility Expo.”

Planet Underground has drawn hundreds of visitors to Manteno, Illinois, just south of Chicago, the past three years for Roundtable Live! events, which recreate a job site in order to demonstrate things such as potholing underground facilities, cross bores, the installation of utility lines and more.

“Planet Underground is proud to partner with The Utility Expo and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers,” says Mike Parilac, CEO of Planet Underground. “We look forward to constructing a job site and networking area in 2021 that allows industry professionals to learn from their peers in a familiar and relaxed setting."

Planning is already underway for The Jobsite at The Utility Expo. Demonstrations are expected to cover topics such as utility locating, vacuum excavation, directional drilling, sewer inspections, and safety best practices.
