Registration is now open for Municipal Sewer Grout School, which is set to take place in Vaughan, Ontario, May 4-5. Attendees can learn from industry experts from Aries Industries, Logiball Inc. and Prime Resins. These thought leaders will work together to provide both classroom and hands-on instruction for municipal grouting.

Injection grouting of manholes, mainline pipes and service laterals is growing more complex with new specifications, new safety guidelines and renewed emphasis on inspection. With emphasis on longevity, technicians can learn grout chemistry, how-to techniques and why-to best practices. Owners and engineers can learn first hand through a contractor perspective, leading to renewed confidence for both maintenance operations and engineering construction projects.

The two-day joint educational course will teach operators and inspectors the proper techniques for grouting, the day-to-day operation of the equipment and how to operate in a safe manner. There will be both classroom and demonstration portions to fully educate attendees on the process of using chemical grouts to stop inflow and infiltration.

The course is for collection system managers, regulators, inspectors, engineers, grout truck technicians and municipal sewer contractors.

Topics covered will include when and where to use acrylamide grouts; NASSCO/ICGC grouting specifications; operational efficiency of equipment and software; safe handling of materials; hands on demonstrations for leak sealing; troubleshooting and repairs.
