West Virginia University’s Environmental Health and Safety Department received an Environmental Excellence Award in the municipal stormwater category from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.

Breedlove Land Planning Inc. and Athens resident Evelyn Wenks received Stormwater Steward Awards from Athens-Clarke County (Ga.) Stormwater Management. The annual awards are presented to an organization, business, individual or community group that has worked to reduce the impact of stormwater runoff on the health of area waters through a specific project, practice or event.

Bridgestone America’s Akron Technical Center received the Ohio Stormwater Association Award, which recognizes “outstanding individuals, programs and projects in the profession of stormwater management, and the benefits they provide to the environment and local citizens.”

The American Water Resources Association announced that the following officers were elected for 2014. Their terms begin Jan. 1, 2014:
