When tasked with creating a program for dealing with its aging stormwater collections system, the Fairfax County (Virginia) Stormwater Infrastructure Branch embarked on a journey of discovery. In the end, being unafraid to try untested approaches, using new trenchless technologies, and adopting a proactive approach to maintenance has set the county up to preserve its critical drainage assets for many generations.
