Residents in central Texas had to conserve water after a recent break in a water main. The issue also triggered a citywide boil-water notice in Killeen.Water plant operators first noticed a major loss of water pressure, and after investigation, found that a 48-inch water main was leaking. The pipeline is the primary transmission main for Killeen, Fort Hood, Copperas Cove and other Bell County Water Control & Improvement District #1 customers.
