A monthly magazine is a great place for in-depth articles on topics of interest. It’s not the greatest place to get current news, especially when we have to work two to three months ahead, and plan even farther ahead than that.
Enter the Internet and the weblog (more commonly called the “blog,” a term I hate, but have to bow to convention and use). This blog is a way of sharing viewpoints and information that otherwise would take a long time to get to you in print. And it’s a way to clue you in to interesting stories coming your way in future issues of MSW.
We can also use this space to share news items – such as announcements of meetings, conferences, and other events – that arrive too late to receive advance publicity in the magazine. I might even use it to venture an opinion now and then.
