The Charles Machine Works, Inc., manufacturer of Ditch Witch underground construction equipment, has acquired 100 percent ownership of HammerHead Trenchless Equipment, manufactured by Earth Tool Company, LLC. The acquisition makes Earth Tool a wholly owned subsidiary of Charles Machine Works. Hammerhead designs and manufactures piercing tools, pipe bursting systems, pneumatic hammers and horizontal directional drill tooling.Tiffany Sewell-Howard, CEO of Charles Machine Works, said the decision to make the acquisition was based on a long-term strategic commitment to grow its core business.
