The city of Santa Monica received a 2023 Helen Putnam Award for Excellence from the League of California Cities. The honor recognizes the city’s Sustainable Water Infrastructure Project, which captures stormwater, urban runoff and wastewater for reuse as a sustainable water supply that provides for about 10% of the city’s water demand.
The city of Wilmington (Delaware) received a $3 million grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to help fund a Price Run project that aims to improve stormwater and sewer infrastructure built more than 100 years ago.
The town of Monterey (Tennessee) received a $1.178 million grant from the federal American Rescue Plan to support stormwater drainage improvements and deal with flooding issues.
