The American Public Works Association appointed Richard T. Berning to its board of directors. He will serve a one-year term on the 17-member board. As Region V director, Berning will focus on strategic issues, including advocacy for infrastructure, building strong chapters and embracing professional development and education programs. He has been a member of APWA for 25 years.
