Vac-Con launches new interactive site
Vac-Con announced it released a new version of its EXPLORE VAC-CON interactive website. It offers 360-degree video tours and images, giving users the ability to demonstrate a Vac-Con machine at any time, from anywhere. In addition to the website, the company released new literature for its primary product portfolio. The new EXPLORE VAC-CON site can be viewed at www.vac-con.com/salesadvantage.


Milamar Coatings acquired by DalFort Capital Partners
Texas-based DalFort Capital Partners announced it has signed agreements to acquire Milamar Coatings from ShoreView Industries. Headquartered in Oklahoma City, Milamar Coatings joins VersaFlex, Raven Lining Systems and Bridge Preservation as part of a growing portfolio of specialty coating solutions for various markets and industries.


Custom Truck One Source announces acquisition
Custom Truck One Source announced the acquisition of Great Pacific Equipment, a distributor of construction and utility equipment serving the Southwest region of the U.S. With offices in Fontana and Bakersfield, California, Great Pacific Equipment’s existing management will partner with Custom Truck One Source to grow the business in the region. This acquisition marks the ninth one under the Custom Truck One Source brand since its formation in February 2015.


Cretex Specialty Products moves to new location, announces staffing changes
Cretex Specialty Products announced its move to a new office and warehouse. The facility is located at N25 W23790 Commerce Circle in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The previous phone numbers will be unchanged. The company also announced a new staff member, Dan Peterson, who joined the management team as regional manager. He will oversee sales and marketing efforts and will work on further developing the distributor network in the Southeast U.S. Cretex Specialty Products also announced the promotion of Tim North to sales manager. North will manage two of the regional sales managers and continue to support his existing sales territory for manhole sealing and rehabilitation products.

Avanti International announces new leadership
Avanti International announced the appointment of Britt N. Babcock, P.E., as president. He has been with the company since 2011 and most recently served as vice president of sales. Babcock has over 25 years of engineering, construction, sales and management experience. He will be based at Avanti International’s headquarters outside of Houston. Frank Aguilar, who had been serving as interim president, will resume his position as vice president of operations.

Pipe Lining Supply adds new technical rep
Pipe Lining Supply announced the appointment of Augustus “Gus” Bozzano II to the position of technical representative serving the Northeastern U.S. He will support the company’s customer base with training, advice, and sales for CIPP lateral lining and AIPPR pipe coating projects for drain, waste, and vent in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

American Augers launches new website
American Augers announced its newly designed website at www.americanaugers-trencor.com. The new site brings together the two brands with one message: “Two Brands. One Commitment.” The mobile-responsive site makes it easy to navigate between the two brands and access detailed product specifications, as well as information and registration for training, warranty, support manuals, parts sales, dealers and reps and team contacts.


Michels Canada expands eastern presence, promotes Glenn MacIntosh
Michels Canada established a permanent office in the Toronto area to serve eastern operations. The office in Woodbridge provides easy access to the metro area and beyond. Glenn MacIntosh has been promoted to director, eastern region, to spearhead the company’s growth in the area.


Terex Utilities celebrates 40 years of training
Terex Utilities celebrated 40 years of training at its Annual Terex Utilities Hands-On Training Seminar in August at its facility in Watertown, South Dakota. The program provides training on the operation of the Terex Utilities digger derricks, Hi-Ranger aerial devices and auger drills. More than 40 people from the U.S., Canada, China, Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Ecuador participated in multiple training stations where they operated equipment and performed actual jobs under the direct supervision of Terex Utilities trainers.


John Deere and Wacker Neuson enter into supplier agreement
John Deere announced it entered into a strategic supplier agreement with Wacker Neuson to initially provide compact excavators in China, Southeast Asia and Oceania. The models will range from 1.7 to 7.5 tons and are specifically designed and manufactured for customers in the growing Asia-Pacific markets.


VMAC welcomes new engineering manager
VMAC announced the hiring of Barry Fitzgerald, P.E., as the company’s engineering manager. He will lead the engineering, custom shop, and foundry teams and will collaborate with the management team. Fitzgerald holds a bachelor of engineering degree from the University of Limerick in Ireland, as well as an MBA of management of technology from Simon Fraser University in Canada. He has worked in a variety of roles across numerous industries, including automotive, medical, renewable energy, and manufacturing.


Vac-Tron Equipment wins Companies to Watch Award 
Vac-Tron Equipment announced it was a 2018 winner of the Florida Companies to Watch Award. The company was selected from more than 500 nominees in the statewide program managed by economic development group GrowFL, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation. Vac-Tron Equipment’s management team, competitive market position, and strong community involvement were among several factors that put them in contention for the award.
