Emergency personnel in Houston, Texas, recently rescued a miniature horse that had fallen into a storm drain in the southwestern part of the city.
The horse was discovered by a police officer who was at the scene of the rescue. According to news reports, the officer had been checking a truck parked on the street to see if it was stolen when he heard a noise nearby. He saw an open storm drain and took a look inside.
“I thought it was a dog, so I jumped back because I thought the dog might be vicious,” the officer tells KPRC News.
