The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity’s Rural Infrastructure Fund program awarded money to multiple communities, including the following:
· City of Apalachicola ($300,000), to conduct planning and design for improvements to the city’s stormwater conveyance system· City of Belle Glade ($291,732), to conduct planning and design for stormwater improvements throughout the city’s downtown area
The town of Norwood (Massachusetts) received a $50,000 grant from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council’s Accelerating Climate Resiliency Grant Program. It will be used for advancing green stormwater retrofits at Norwood’s Cleveland School and Savage Center. The project aims to clean stormwater, reduce flood risk to the buildings
