The Amarex KRT closed-loop, pump jacket cooling system from KSB features an environmentally safe propylene glycol/water mix. The 38/62 antifreeze mixture enables the closed-loop cooling system to protect the pump in temperatures down to -4 degrees F. An impeller inside the closed-loop system circulates the mixture so it flows around the motor, gathering heat, dissipating it into the pumped liquid via a heat exchanger.
