InfoSense hires new Midwest market manager
InfoSense hired Charlie Rotman as its Midwest market manager. He is based in Chicago and brings his previous experiences as an engineering manager and field application engineer to the role. Rotman will be responsible for expanding Sewer Line Rapid Assessment, or SL-RAT, sales activities in the Midwest, as well as being the manufacturer’s representative for Hach Flow products in most of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Flomatic names new national sales manager
Flomatic Corp. announced the promotion of Jim Tucci to national sales manager. Tucci will continue to lead the expansion of Flomatic valve products nationally and internationally. In addition, Tucci will now oversee Flomatic’s customer service department. He joined Flomatic in August 2014 as the industrial and municipal sales engineer after a long career as a driller both as an owner/operator of a water well and geothermal drilling company in upstate New York and several positions with environmental firms performing sonic drilling and direct-push sampling.
Aries Industries announces new dealer in Canada
Aries Industries announced it has strengthened its international market reach by adding Ontario-based JD Brule Equipment to its dealer network. JD Brule Equipment, based in Greely, Ontario, has worked in the underground infrastructure industry for over 30 years. As an Aries dealer, they will sell and service Aries video inspection equipment and vehicles to customers throughout Ontario and Quebec.
Vac-Con names new general manager for Vector Technologies
Vac-Con named Ned Zolinski to the position of general manager for Vector Technologies. In this role, he will oversee all aspects of the business from plant operations to sales and marketing. Zolinski holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration, both from Colorado State University.

Paramount Pipe Lining Products announced that NSF International determined its Paramount Pipe Lining System products comply with NSF/ANSI 14. The approval relates specifically to the Paramount Pipe Lining System CIPP products.
Mr. Rooter celebrates strong first half of 2020
Mr. Rooter Plumbing, a Neighborly company, awarded five new franchise agreements and expanded to five additional territories for existing franchise owners from January through June of 2020. KSB names Maturana as president
KSB announced the promotion of Luis Maturana to president. He joined KSB in 2018 and served as vice president of the water and wastewater division. He received his bachelor of science degree in materials science engineering from Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Venezuela. Maturana previously served in multiple executive roles at ChemTreat and Veolia Water Technologies. Prior KSB President Dr. Falk Schäfer remains with KSB and is moving to the global headquarters in Frankenthal, Germany. He will serve in general industry as vice president applications.

Mueller Systems and Ferguson Waterworks announce meter deployment
Mueller Systems and Ferguson Waterworks announced a new project for Newport News’ water metering system. Newport News Waterworks, the second largest water utility in Virginia, signed an agreement to install the Mueller Mi.Net Advanced Metering Infrastructure system throughout the city, including the largest deployment of Remote Disconnect Meters in the U.S. The Mi.Net system will leverage the Sentryx water intelligence platform, which provides data insights into a water utility’s distribution system. Mueller Systems and Ferguson Waterworks will collaborate to deliver the project over the next four years.
North Carolina utility partners with Sensus
In North Carolina, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities is working with Sensus, a Xylem brand, to upgrade its infrastructure with a smart utility network. The department will deploy a mix of roughly 130,000 commercial and residential water meters, in addition to Network as a Service, and SoS offerings to optimize their water system operations. The meter upgrade and network enhancements will accurately measure water consumption and rapidly detect leaks.

SewerAI secures seed funding
SewerAI announced it has secured $2 million in seed funding led by venture capital firms Builders VC and EPIC Ventures. SewerAI was established to address the problem of aging pipe infrastructure. With more than 6 billion feet of sewer pipe in the U.S. alone, approximately 3 billion feet are in need of repair or replacement.
