Infrastructure in America is a hot topic with the federal government looking to spend billions of dollars on bridges, roads and broadband Internet. But the infrastructure we see isn’t the only infrastructure in the nation.

In a recent public outreach effort on the importance of investing in sewer system infrastructure, the Taylors (South Carolina) Fire and Sewer District put together a promotional video including interviews with the district’s leaders to familiarize the public with the sewer system and the crew that attends to it.

“We do most of our work in-house because it saves the taxpayers a lot of money,” says Gary Cantrell, collection system operations supervisor. “We do have the skillset, we do have the equipment, and we do have the personnel to accomplish a lot of stuff.”

Check out the video below, and keep an eye out for our upcoming story on Taylors Fire and Sewer District in the Fall 2021 edition of I&I magazine in October.
