The North American Society for Trenchless Technology will host two opportunities to start the new year with CEUs, as it plans to hold two virtual classes on new installations and rehab.

Intro to New Installations will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. The instructors for the class are Dr. Kimberlie Staheli of Staheli Trenchless Consultants and engineer Matthew Wallin of Bennett Trenchless Engineers. Cindy Preuss of CDM Smith will moderate the virtual class.

This course is geared to address numerous trenchless methods commonly used in North America to install new pipe and conduit. This will include auger boring, pipe ramming, pipe jacking and pilot tube methods. The target audience is contractors, municipal and utility employees, consulting engineers, inspectors and industry practitioners. Register here.

Introduction to Trenchless Technology — Rehabilitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. Class instructors are Patrick Moskwa of Robinson Consultants and Cindy Preuss of CDM Smith. Jennifer Glynn of Woodard & Curran will moderate.

This introductory short course is ideally suited for both newcomers to the industry and for anyone who is interested in seeking a refresher course on trenchless technology methods. The rehabilitation session provides an overview of the methods available to public works and sewer agencies to rehabilitate water, sewer and gas systems without the need for excavation.
