Why Pump Design Matters in Sewer JettingWhen a jetter goes down, the entire job stops. For plumbers, contractors, and municipal crews, pump reliability is critical. It directly affects productivity in the field or profitability of the investment. Most jetters rely on traditional triplex pumps, with packing, seals, and multiple wear components that rely on routine replacement. While effective for high-pressure applications, they demand frequent maintenance when used in daily sewer cleaning work. Harben took a different approach with its radial piston diaphragm P-type pump. The design eliminates packings and dynamic seals, reducing the number of wear components that cause downtime.
