Epoxytec, in partnership with Tnemec, is inviting contractors, engineers, utility professionals and infrastructure enthusiasts to participate in the 2026 Epoxytec Summer Manhole Cover Challenge, with submissions open through July 31.
The annual photo contest encourages participants to capture creative images of manhole covers while highlighting the critical infrastructure that keeps communities operating every day. Contest entries should feature any manhole cover along with the photographer's feet (or even a furry companion) for a unique perspective.
Participants can submit photos through the contest landing page. Every eligible entry will receive Epoxytec-branded swag, while the grand prize winner, selected by an Epoxytec judging panel, will receive $500.
In addition to artistic manhole cover photos, participants are encouraged to share behind-the-scenes images showcasing Epoxytec protective coatings in action.
"Submissions have already started flowing in," says an Epoxytec spokesperson. "Whether you’re traveling for work, vacation or just exploring your own neighborhood, keep your camera ready and your eyes peeled for creative designs that make infrastructure art. This challenge is an opportunity to shed light on the unseen, yet essential infrastructure, that keeps our communities running smoothly."
