Check out this video from China where officials were called in to rescue a pregnant cow by lifting it out of the sewer through a manhole on Nov. 9. The rescue crew used the davit arm of a firetruck to finally lift the 880-pound yellow cow to safety.
According to CCTV+, the cow lied on the ground motionless for a period of time, but eventually stood up to the relief of its owner, Hu Falin. “The cow is the only family possession and if it dies, I will have nothing to rely on for a living,” he says.
