Radhika Fox Confirmed as Assistant Administrator for U.S. EPA Office of Water

Statement from NACWA CEO praises inclusive leadership experience of incoming assistant administrator

Radhika Fox has been confirmed as the newest Assistant Administrator for U.S. EPA’s Office of Water.

Fox has extensive experience leading major policy initiatives in the water sector, having served as the CEO of the U.S. Water Alliance, where she engaged frequently with NACWA, and as the head of government affairs at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, a NACWA public utility member.

Fox’s ability to listen to the diverse needs of the water sector and, in turn, determine a practical and realizable policy path forward has made her among the water sector’s most effective leaders, according to NACWA.

NACWA and its leadership applauded her confirmation as Assistant Administrator. "Radhika knows the water sector intimately, having previously worked for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and, more recently, in her role as CEO of the U.S. Water Alliance which flourished under her leadership," Adam Krantz, CEO of NACWA, said in a statement.

“Radhika has built a culture of inclusivity everywhere she has been, and we look forward to her pragmatic approach to improving water quality and water access as she leads the Office of Water at U.S. EPA," said Krantz. "With a strong background of working directly with public water utilities, as well as her experience leading a national water association, Radhika is uniquely positioned to deliver real results for the public water sector and, as she says, to make this ‘water’s moment.'

“I am proud to call Radhika a friend and colleague, and I look forward to working with her in this new role.”
