Kurita America Publishes New Water Reuse eBook

Kurita America recently announced it has published a new eBook titled “Exploring Industrial Water Reuse: Key Considerations for Your Facility.”

Facility managers, operational staff and others will be able to gain a better understanding of water reuse in an industrial facility with key considerations for determining the best approach and potential impact demonstrated through industry trends, graphs, case studies and additional resources.

The need for water reuse has been exacerbated by external factors, such as water scarcity. For example, Lake Mead and Lake Powell in the southwest United States are facing record-low water levels after a decades-long drought. Updated regulatory compliance and aging infrastructure are two key considerations of the $434 billion water investment gap, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers. Barclays Research estimates the true cost of water is three to five times higher than what companies are actually paying. Inflation has exacerbated these water challenges, impacting a business’ bottom line and day-to-day operational costs.

Kurita is a founding member of the Water Resilience Coalition, established under the CEO-led Water Mandate, a United Nations Global Company initiative dedicated to reducing water stress by 2050. Kurita says it is dedicated to building a sustainable future with corporate social responsibility through sustainable technologies, applications and practices, such as water reuse. Corporate social responsibility is Kurita’s core for philosophy and management strategy with a global focus on solving issues relating to water resources, reducing waste and CO2 emissions and using sustainable energy.
