CCI Piping Systems celebrates 30th anniversary, adds to space
As CCI Piping Systems celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025, the company announced the groundbreaking of its third building. Adding to an existing 40,000-square-feet of combined manufacturing space, the new facility will provide an additional 25,000 square feet. The new building will enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities, allowing for growth of existing product lines. The addition comes only a few years after the company entered its second generation. CCI’s founder, Gene Cazayoux, who remains CEO and chairman of the board, retired from the daily operations in 2022. Since then, his oldest two children have taken over running the manufacturing company. Claire Morley, who joined the family business in 2006, now oversees the sales and administrative side of the business while Paul Cazayoux runs the operations and finance departments.
Vortex launches new division to address water infrastructure
Vortex Companies has launched Vortex Water, a new division dedicated to transforming the renewal of aging water infrastructure. With a decade of success in making sewer and industrial rehabilitation more accessible, Vortex is now bringing its high-impact approach to the water market by delivering materials, liners and technologies to solve the pressing challenges of deteriorating water systems. To lead this expansion, Cedric Bergeron has been appointed as senior vice president of Vortex Water. Bergeron, a 20-year veteran of the industry, brings expertise in CIPP watermain lining, trenchless installation technologies and large-scale infrastructure solutions.
Florida facility receives Envision Gold Award
Expansions and upgrades to the Bee Ridge Water Reclamation Facility in Sarasota County, Florida, have received Envision Gold from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure. The Envision framework provides a comprehensive set of criteria for assessing infrastructure sustainability. The project achieved Gold recognition for excellence in several key areas, including environmental stewardship, climate resilience, resource efficiency and community benefits. Originally constructed in the 1990s, the project at BRWRF will increase treatment capacity by 50% — from 12 to 18 million gallons per day — while implementing advanced wastewater treatment technologies, including biological nutrient removal basins and Florida’s largest membrane bioreactor system.
Carboline welcomes Priscila Nobre as VP of supply chain
Carboline has named Priscila Nobre as its first vice president of supply chain. She will oversee the company’s sales inventory and operations planning, service centers, customer service and transportation departments. Prior to joining Carboline, Nobre held key leadership roles at Corning Life Sciences, TE Connectivity, Cummins and World Wide Technology, among others.
AQS achieves ISO/IEC Certification
Aquarius Spectrum by Aliaxis has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification. To achieve this certification, AQS demonstrated compliance with a robust set of security controls designed to mitigate risks such as data breaches, cyberattacks and unauthorized access.
Badger Meter acquires SmartCover Systems
Badger Meter announced the $185 acquisition of SmartCover Systems from XPV Water Partners. The transaction, funded with available cash, adds real-time monitoring of utility water collection systems, with a focus on sewer line and lift station monitoring, to the network monitoring applications already offered under Badger Meter’s BlueEdge suite of water management solutions. SmartCover, with approximately $35 million in annual revenue, provides sensors, software and related services to monitor sewer levels 24/7, determining changes in patterns and automatically alerting utilities to potential issues.
ADS announces recycling facility expansion project
Advanced Drainage Systems announced plans to break ground on a 117,000-square-foot expansion of its recycling facility in Cordele, Georgia. Highlights of the expansion include a new on-site lab and advanced processing to boost recycled plastic production, ensuring supply for ADS’ Southeast pipe plants.

Source One Environmental, a Fernco company, announced a new partnership with Brawo Systems, a globally recognized name in trenchless pipe rehabilitation technology. This collaboration marks a step forward in showcasing and expanding access to the Magnavity SX LED pipe curing system, positioning it as a transformative solution for the trenchless repair industry. The formal launch of the pipe curing system took place at the 2025 WWETT Show in Indianapolis in February.
HammerHead Trenchless acquires assets of ProKASRO Services USA
HammerHead Trenchless, a division of The Toro Company, has acquired the assets of ProKASRO Services USA, the distributor of ProKASRO Mechatronik GmbH. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. ProKASRO Services USA is known for its robotics, UV pipe lining solutions and lateral rehabilitation technologies. Based in Centennial, Colorado, its expanded line of trenchless solutions provide the ability to rehabilitate underground wastewater and water pipelines without the need for digging or disruption to outdoor environments.
Vermeer Corp. acquires ownership interest in Vac Truck
Vermeer Corp. announced it has taken an ownership interest in Vac Truck Industries, based in Arundel, Queensland, Australia. Vermeer and VTI will partner together with current in-country manufacturing, branding, sales and support of innovative vacuum trucks, jetter systems, suction trucks and customized solutions. VTI was founded in 2017 and is currently under the leadership of Matt Clough, Ned Popovic and James Hennessey. VTI serves the markets of civil construction, oil and gas, electrical, infrastructure, mining and drilling. The company has approximately 45 employees focused on sales, design, fabrication and assembly, along with aftermarket support for the broader vacuum excavation industry.
Aries Industries adds MRZ Solutions to dealer network
Aries Industries has strengthened its eastern U.S. market reach by adding MRZ Solutions to its dealer network. Based in Greenwood, Delaware, MRZ Solutions (formerly M.J. Friedl & Associates) is a Mid-Atlantic distributor of tools and solutions for utility needs. Its lineup includes underground utility locators, inspection cameras, utility pumps, lifters, industrial cutting tools, digging tools and leak detectors. The dealership will provide sole representation of Aries Industries products in Maryland and Delaware.
Super Products opens Utah rental facility, expands Midwest partnership
Super Products opened a new rental and service facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This marks the company’s tenth rental location since entering the market in 2011. The Salt Lake City facility will operate as a satellite location to Super Products’ Southern California branch, led by Rental Regional Manager Chris Soper. Super Products also announced the expansion of its partnership with MTech, a municipal and commercial equipment dealer. Already the exclusive dealer of Super Products’ vacuum excavators, combination sewer cleaners and hydroexcavation equipment in Ohio and Michigan, MTech will now extend its service to municipal customers in Indiana and both municipal and contractor customers in Kentucky.
