PEOPLE/AWARDS

Allison Hardin was hired as director of the Lancaster County (South Carolina) Development Services Division, which includes the stormwater department.


Josh Evans was hired as an engineering assistant at the Duluth (Minnesota) location of civil and environmental consulting engineering firm AE2S, which includes stormwater systems among its specialties.


The state of Colorado was awarded a $531,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to upgrade stormwater collection and sewer systems. The funds are from the Sewer Overflow and Stormwater Reuse Municipal Grants program.


One Westfield Place received a Smart Growth Award from New Jersey Future, a nonprofit organization that recognizes redevelopment projects and infrastructure improvements that incorporate sustainable elements into communities. One Westfield Place incorporated green stormwater infrastructure.


The City of Hendersonville (North Carolina) Stormwater Division received $250,000 through Golden LEAF’s Flood Mitigation Program.


The city of Coatesville (Pennsylvania) was awarded a $621,360 grant from FEMA to design and engineer long-term resilience solutions to mitigate flooding. The grant will be used to address outdated stormwater infrastructure, among other topics.
