The state of New York awarded more than $61 million in Green Resiliency Grant funding for eight stormwater infrastructure projects across the state. The grants are funded through the Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act. Locations receiving grants include:
- Buffalo Sewer Authority ($10 million)
- Town of Brookhaven ($10 million)
- City of Mount Vernon ($4.4 million)
- New York City Housing Authority ($7.9 million)
- New York City Department of Environmental Protection ($10 million)
- City of Newburgh ($1.825 million)
- Village of Potsdam ($8.975 million)
- Town of Rye ($8.1 million)
The city of Valdosta’s Arbor Division received a $14,000 grant from the Georgia Forestry Commission to purchase and plant trees in key locations throughout the city. The project will, in part, aid in stormwater management efforts.
The city of Delray Beach (Florida) honored Spencer Britt for 30 years of service. Britt has served as the city’s stormwater superintendent since February 2023.
The city of Hendersonville’s Brooklyn Creek Restoration Project at Sullivan Park was named the 2025 Stormwater Project of the Year by the North Carolina Chapter of the American Public Works Association.
The Lake Hopatcong Commission, in partnership with Roxbury Township and Princeton Hydro, received a $367,000 Water Quality Restoration Grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to construct a stormwater retention basin in Roxbury.
Gloucester County received a $1.1 million grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to implement a program that regionalizes stormwater management.
