The village of Canton received a $50,000 grant through the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Climate Smart Communities program. The funds will complete an adaptive stormwater conveyance system upgrade study.


The city of Blountstown received a $200,000 grant through the state of Florida Rural Infrastructure Fund Program. The funds are aimed at reducing stormwater inflow and infiltration into the municipal wastewater system.


The town of Cross City received a $5.7 million grant through the state of Florida Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery Infrastructure Repair Program. The funds are aimed at improving and upgrading stormwater drainage.


The cillage of Glenmont (Ohio) received a $25,000 grant from the Holmes County Education and Community Foundation to support the development of plans to improve the village’s stormwater conveyance system.


Sanitation District No. 1 (Kentucky) presented the 2025 Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Excellence Award to three local construction companies “for their proactive approach to addressing stormwater challenges, timely implementation of best management practices and for ensuring their projects have minimal offsite impacts on our local environment.” Awards were presented to Wesley Byrd (Eastern Kentucky Power Cooperative) for work on the EKPC Mineola Pike 69KV Tap Line project in Boone County; Ryan Quinn (Garney Construction) for work on the 24-inch Northwest Transmission Main project in Boone County; and Ryan Guilfoyle (Monarch Construction Co.) for work on the R.C. Hinsdale Elementary Addition project in Edgewood.


The city of Kingsport’s Main Street Rebuild project received an Excellence in Economic and Community Development Award from the Tennessee Municipal League. Replacing the stormwater system was among the components of the $20 million project.
