Sewer History Exhibit A traveling exhibit on the history of sewage conveyance systems from 3500 B.C. through the 1930s is part of Utility Construction EXPO ’09 on March 4-6 at the Phoenix (Ariz.) Convention Center Exhibit Hall. The photos and artifacts of Jon Schladweiler, historian of the Arizona Water & Pollution Control Association, offer insight into the origins of modern sewer systems and bring to light the contributions of sewer builders, engineers and operators.
