The trailer-mounted Hi-Flow Ultimate Warrior jetter from Spartan Tool LLC is designed for small municipalities and use in large sewers.
“This jetter cleans pipes from 4 to 30 inches, but its sweet spot is 8- to 18-inch pipes, making it perfect for small municipalities and industrial customers,” says Tom Pranka, president of Spartan Tool. “It enables smaller municipalities to aggressively promote a cleaning schedule without investing in a combination truck.”
The dual-axle jetter is fully enclosed to protect it from the elements. The enclosure’s streamlined design easily accommodates a vinyl wrap, and its low profile makes it maneuverable in tight quarters.
A lock on the engine shroud deters vandalism, and the shroud pivots vertically on gas struts for easy access to the pump and 83-hp turbo diesel engine, which meets U.S. emission standards through 2012. Furthermore, the sound-dampened engine cover meets OSHA requirements for operation without ear protection.
A 600-gallon water tank includes integrated baffles, enabling operators to tow the unit even when full. A triplex ceramic plunger pump delivers 3,000 psi at 35 gpm. The hose reel and reel arm pivot 180 degrees, then lock into position.
“Aligning the hose with the pipe being jetted decreases friction on the hose and allows it to feed quicker,” Pranka says. “It also reduces wear and tear on the hose over time. The dual-swivel action gives operators flexibility in tight quarters.”
The jetter, which weighs 4,955 pounds empty and 9,935 pounds full, also has Dial-a-Pressure settings at 1,000, 2,000, 2,500, and 3,000 psi. Electronically controlled pump pulsation vibrates the hose to reduce friction, and an onboard antifreeze system eliminates the need to blow out moisture with air. “Operators just throw a valve to divert any water in the system into the tank and replace it with antifreeze,” Pranka says.
The standard unit comes with 500 feet of 1/2-inch high-pressure cleaning hose, 100 feet of 5/8-inch rubber supply hose, 75 feet of 1/4-inch trap-cleaning hose, and 15 feet of color-coded leader hose. A six-function remote control is available. For information: 800/435-3866; www.spartantool.com.
