The city of Port Townsend received a $1.173 million loan and a $1.173 million grant from the state of Washington to support construction of a new stormwater system. The improvements include full road resurfacing and installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps.
Foley City accepted a grant from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management to support ongoing improvements at the Beulah Heights Regional Stormwater Facility in the southeast section of the city. The city has been updating the 480-acre project, which began in 2008, to better manage stormwater and protect local waterways.
